This study first reported that the history, electrocardiogram, age, risk factors, and troponin (HEART) score was effective when used in a Japanese population. The modified HEART and history, electrocardiogram, age, and risk factors (HEAR) scores had high negative predictive values for major adverse cardiac events that occurred within 6 weeks.
