Hair patterns that involve only the elevated areas of the pinna and those that involve only the depressed areas of the pinna are named and described. The age range and the incidence of the patterns are presented. The patterns of the elevated areas are correlated with those of the depressed areas, and the patterns of the elevated areas are correlated with the presence and the absence of tragal hair. All of the determinations were made for white and American Negro males.
