Two diketopyrrolopyrrole dimers with different oligomethylene tether length showed distinct aggregation behaviours, leading to a significant difference in the degree of phase separation upon mixing with PC 61 BM. Despite almost same optical properties, their blend films with PC 61 BM exhibited distinct power conversion efficiency in bulk‐heterojunction solar cells as a result of difference in phase separation.
