Cyclopropanation of Fluorinated Sulfur Ylides with 1‐Azadienes: Facile Synthesis of CF 3 ‐Substituted Spiro Scaffolds

An efficient strategy for the synthesis of CF 3 ‐substituted spiro scaffolds has been developed via cyclopropanation of fluorinated sulfur ylides with 1‐azadienes under mild conditions. A structurally diverse set of spiro benzofuranylidene cyclopropanes and spiro indenylidene cyclopropanes have been constructed in good to excellent yields with good to excellent diastereoselectivities.
