Visible light‐induced decarboxylative sulfonylation of cinnamic acids with disulfides for the synthesis of vinyl sulfones was developed. The reaction underwent smoothly in the presence of Ru(Phen) 3 (PF 6 ) 2 as a photocatalyst, Cs 2 CO 3 as a base in DMSO at room temperature under blue LED (450–455 nm) irradiation and air atmosphere, generating the desired products in good yields. It provides an alternative route to vinyl sulfones with disulfides as sulfonylation reagent in the advantages of mild conditions, simple system and wide functional group tolerance.
