The reactions of SeO 2 with a wide range of differently functionalized N‐protected indoles and pyrroles were studied in a “green” approach. The reactions occurred smoothly in ethanol at room temperature to afford 3,3′‐diindolyl and 2,2′‐dipyrrolyl selenides without any need of inert conditions.
