In view of the distinct advantages of deep tissue penetration of NIR‐II light and the outstanding biocompatibility of conjugated polymers, the design and development of conjugated polymers with the ability of photothermal conversion in NIR‐II window are extremely important for biomedical applications. In this focus review, based on the excellent features of photothermal conversion and NIR‐II light, several key factors and related principles of developing conjugated photothermal polymers are proposed and discussed systematically. Accordingly, some illuminating conjugated NIR‐II photothermal polymers are exemplified and highlighted. This Focus Review aims to provide another perspective for constructing highly efficient NIR‐II photothermal conversion to expand the biomedical applications of conjugated polymers.
