Six water soluble N‐heteroarenes based on a dimeric imidazo[1,5‐ a ]pyridine structure have been synthesized. Although the absorption maxima of these molecules were detected in the UV region, the fluorescence emission was observed in the wavelength range of 426–572 nm. Because the large Stokes shift enables multicolor staining in fluorescent bioimaging, the green fluorescent molecule and a commercially available blue fluorescent dye were used in tandem for double‐color staining of HeLa cells under single UV irradiation.
