Introducing fluorine or fluorine‐containing groups into organic compounds or biologically active compounds to improve their physical and chemical properties such as membrane permeability, bioavailability and metabolic stability has attracted intensive attention in synthetic chemistry. During the last decades, relying on the high reactivity of alkylidenecyclopropanes (ACPs), many interesting synthetic methods have been developed to prepare the corresponding fluorinated organic compounds and the related scaffolds by our group and others. This review article summarized the recent advances in the fluorination of alkylidenecyclopropanes and classified the fluorinations into monofluorination, difluoromethylation, trifluoromethylation and trifluoromethylthiolation reactions.
