A transition‐metal‐free catalytic protocol for the synthesis of 3‐sulfenylated indoles via indole C−H sulfenylation is reported. By using simple inorganic iodine salt KIO 3 as the sole catalyst, the sulfenylated indole products are easily synthesized with good tolerance and satisfactory yield in DMSO/H 2 O.
