An efficient and convenient cobalt‐promoted annulation reaction has been established for the synthesis of biologically relevant phosphaisoquinolin‐1‐ones, which represents the first example of a transition‐metal‐promoted C−H/N−H functionalization of aryl phophinamides with allenes. Through this strategy, three different types of novel phosphaisoquinolin‐1‐one derivatives can be readily prepared in good yields. This new strategy exhibited several advantages, including easily accessible starting materials, good functional group tolerance, and excellent reactivity.
