A stereospecific copper(II)‐mediated bromination/debromination aromatization sequence leading to functionalized nitrophenols from corresponding γ‐nitroketones is described. It provided a simple methodology for the construction of nitrophenols in moderate to good yields and moderate to high enantioselectivities.
