Abstract Carboxylic acids and their derivatives are abundant and inexpensive organic and biomass‐derived platform molecules, and their conversion into high‐value products represents an important goal. Recently, visible‐light photoredox decarboxylative coupling reactions have become an important chemical transformation because of their wide substrate scope, mild reaction conditions, high efficiency, and practicability. This review summarizes recent advances in visible‐light photoredox decarboxylative coupling strategies, which include the formation of C−C and C−Y (Y=heteroatom) bonds.
