A palladium‐catalyzed cascade cross‐coupling of benzamide and toluene for the synthesis of 3‐hydroxyisoindolin‐1‐one is described. This method allows C−H bond ortho acylation/annulation with a Pd/TBHP system in an atom‐economical and environmentally friendly manner. In addition, a variety of substrates are well tolerated.
