Abstract Thiazole orange (TO) as a fluorescent probe for H + ‐induced i‐motif formation is reported. TO fluoresces in the presence of the folded structures of i‐motif DNA sequences and H + and/or Ag + ions, which allows the design of an “OR” logic gate.
