An efficient and environmentally friendly protocol has been developed for CuSO 4 ‐catalyzed N ‐arylation of nitrogen‐containing nucleophiles with aryl halides in water. The method uses 2‐hydroxybenzohydrazides as ligand, avoids the use of organic solvents, and tolerates functional groups well.
