A stepwise, bottom‐up route to 3,7‐functionalized hexaphyrins is described by Atsuhiro Osuka and co‐workers in their Full Paper on page 600 ff. The preparation and modification of dipyrromethane stannane(IV) complexes are crucial steps. These hexaphyrins have rectangular conformations and are stable during usual manipulations in air despite their “ meso ‐free” structure.
