A copper‐catalyzed radical oxidative trifluoromethylation and arylation of electron‐withdrawing alkenes has been developed, in which economical sodium trifluoromethanesulfinate is used as the CF 3 source. A preliminary kinetic investigation indicated that the generation of CF 3 radicals under the mild conditions might be a facile process.
