Making the switch : Sulfuric acid catalyzes the alkenylation and [3+2] annulation of N ‐benzylic sulfonamides with alkenes depending on the substituents of the alkene (see scheme). Importantly, this approach provides easy access to polysubstituted alkenes and indanes with high regio‐ and stereoselectivity. Ts= p ‐toluenesulfonyl.
