Diazopentacene analogue 2,7,11,16‐tetra‐tert‐butyldiphenanthro[4,5‐abc:4′,5′‐hij]phenazine has been synthesized and characterized by Qichun Zhang and co‐workers in their Full Paper on page 346 ff. This compound fluoresces bright green in a solution of dichloromethane and the color can be altered by adding different protic or Lewis acids. Organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs) that contain this diazopentacene analogue perform well and the results suggest that this class of compounds may improve the overall efficiency of OLEDs
