Health related problems among Danish garbage collectors have been reported. Separated compostable household waste was analyzed for endotoxin and microorganisms in an experimental study. Aerosols and liquid (percolate) from the waste were sampled over two 14‐day periods during storage in containers. © 1994 Wiley‐Liss, Inc.
