This article discusses the general processing of non‐ferrous ores by pyrometallurgical methods. A general description of the process flows are given for copper, lead, zinc, antimony, nickel, and cadmium. Also described, in the case of copper, are the new pyrometallurgical processes being utilized in the U.S. copper industry.
