Abstract A method is proposed for calculating aerosol collection in the jet region of fluidized filters with sieve plate distributors. With the use of the model proposed earlier by Lefroy and Davidson and a new correlation for the single‐collector efficiency, which was established as part of this study, a compartment‐to‐compartment procedure was developed for estimating aerosol collection. The results were compared with experimental data for model validation.
