Current literature describes forced convecting, boiling heat transfer as primarily convective heat transfer. The original evidence for this concept, reported by Dengler and Addoms, was reexamined and found misinterpreted. Nucleate boiling data, instead, correlate with their data. Subsequent use of the concept in correlations and models now requires close scrutiny.
