A method of predicting activity coefficients of polybasic acids and their salts in strong aqueous solutions is presented. Application of the calculation of decomposition pressures of SO 2 over sodium sulfite‐bisulfite systems and of CO 2 over carbonate‐bicarbonate systems is illustrated.
