Abstract Because the precise composition of the vapor phase over aqueous sulfuric acid is not accessible experimentally a method is described for calculating the partial pressures of water, sulfuric acid, and sulfur trioxide starting from liquid‐phase partial molal thermodynamic quantities. Graphs and tables are provided which give the partial pressures from −50° to 400°C., between 10 and 100 wt. % acid.
