Metal nanoclusters are ultrasmall metal‐organic aggregates with attractive molecule‐like physical and chemical properties, such as strong luminescence. In article number 2021 , 2 , 114–132, this work discusses the latest development of luminescent metal nanoclusters‐based probes for biosensing and bioimaging applications and aims to reveal the designing principles of metal nanoclusters in these cutting‐edge fields.
