In article number 2000588, Jungang Hou and co‐workers comprehensively review the recent progress in nonmetal species modification of nanocatalysts for electrochemical CO 2 reduction. The strategies of nonmetal species modification are emphasized, including heteroatom incorporation, organic molecule decoration, electrolyte engineering and single atom engineering. The involvement of nonmetal species is responsible for the fabrication of unique active sites with tunable kinetics and activities.
