The development of energy storage devices can be significantly improved by modelling and simulation approaches. For the rapidly emerging sodium‐ion battery technology and its electrolytes there is yet no standard. In article number 1703036 Patrik Johansson and co‐workers review the efforts made from a modeling and simulation perspective in order to assist both the fundamental understanding as well as the development of higher performance sodium‐ion battery (SIB) electrolytes.
