A separator/electrode assembly (SEA) is prepared using a simple coating and dry phase inversion . The SEA offers a lithium ion battery with high thermal stability and excellent cycling and power capability, which makes it attractive for the high‐energy, high‐power Li‐ion batteries that are being developed for electric vehicle applications.
