A TCO‐free, flexible and bifacial dye‐sensitized solar cell is reportedby D. C. Zou and co‐workers on page 37 . Different from traditional sandwich‐type structures, this solar cell is made from an alternative arrangement of fiber sub‐strates as the working and counter electrodes. Such a unique solar cell has good flexibility without expensive transparent conductive oxide (TCO), as well as the ability to capture light to generate electricity from either side. The new structure also provides new clues for how to reduce the cost of solar cells and promote their application.
