Upconverter‐doped TiO 2 hollow shells prepared by a simple one‐pot hydrothermal method can be used as a dual‐functional top‐layer in the photoanodes of dye‐sensitized solar cells, not only improving the light scattering, but also enhancing near‐infrared light harvesting of the DSSC cells.
