A remote‐mode metasurface addressed and tuned by illuminating light is proposed and realized by Wei Xiang Jiang, Cheng‐Wei Qiu, Tie Jun Cui, and co‐workers in article number 1801028 . By tuning the intensity of the illuminating light, a digital coding metasurface enables dynamically reconfigurable radiation beams in a remote non‐contact way. The experimental demonstration is validated at microwave frequencies.
