In article 1600156, convolution operations are performed on 2‐bit coding metasurfaces to steer a radiation pattern to the desired directions with negligible distortion, and to make continuous beam scanning in the upper‐half space, by Tie Jun Cui and co‐workers. This universal coding scheme provides another degree of freedom in designing the radiation patterns using coding metasurfaces by using the convolution theorem and other signal processing techniques.
