In article 1500383, N. H. Voelcker and co‐workers demonstrate indirect methods to detect Sortase A, a bacterial enzyme found in Staphylococcus aureus , using an optical biosensor based on a porous silicon resonant microcavity (pSiRM) structure. Early detection of bacteria is crucial in wound monitoring, and the pSiRM sensor shows great promise as a point‐of‐care diagnostic tool.
