The approach for direct synthesis of Indolo[1,2‐ b ]cinnolines was first developed from azobenzenes and terminal alkynes by rhodium‐catalyzed cascade annulation reaction. In this reaction, the C−C and C−N bonds can be simultaneously constructed via C−H activation to afford the desired products in moderate to good yields.
