Similar to the traditional Romanian celebration of spring beginning through the hand‐made red‐white string called “Mărţişor” [mertsi’∫or] usually offered as gifts, 1,4,5,8‐naphthalendiimides (NDIs)‐based macrocycles and interlocked structures have come to the spring of their life in terms of applications in supramolecular, biological and materials chemistry. This review comprehensively describes synthesis, structural characterisation and so far developed applications (i.e., semiconductors, energy storage devices, photovoltaics, artificial photosystems, sensors, catalysts, molecular machines) of NDI‐based (supra)molecular architectures. Details can be found in the review on pages 817–845 (A. Diac, M. Matache, I. Grosu, N. D. Hădade, Adv. Synth. Catal . 2018 , 360 , 817–845; DOI: 10.1002/adsc.201701362).
