A straightforward synthetic entry to the principal classes of electrophilic trifluoromethylthiolating agents is presented. It draws on inexpensive, shelf‐stable tetramethylammonium trifluoromethylthiolate (Me 4 N–SCF 3 ) as the SCF 3 source in the place of stoichiometric coinage metal‐SCF 3 complexes.
