The direct oxidative cross‐coupling between N ‐acyl‐2‐aminoacetophenones and toluene derivatives was developed with a new C–C bond being formed under metal‐free and environmentally friendly conditions with excellent atom economy. A possible reaction pathway for the formation of the products is also discussed in this paper.
