Imino‐/enaminophosphonates derived from amines and diethyl phenacyl phosphonates undergo oxidative cyclization via CH bond activation catalyzed by palladium chloride to provide a convenient route for the synthesis of substituted indol‐3‐yl and pyrrol‐3‐yl phosphonates.
