The addition reaction of α‐keto acid chlorides with terminal alkynes proceeds in the presence of (acetylacetonato)dicarbonylrhodium used as catalyst to afford synthetically versatile ( Z )‐γ‐chloro‐α‐oxo‐β,γ‐unsaturated ketones regio‐ and stereoselectively.
