A one‐pot synthesis of dihydroindenes from substituted benzenes and haloalkenes was developed. The reaction proceeded via a copper(II) triflate [Cu(OTf) 2 ]‐catalyzed tandem Friedel–Crafts alkylation/cyclization process with high efficiency under relatively mild conditions.
