Catalysts containing ionic liquid phase immobilised on chitosan are successfully applied to the palladium‐catalysed allylation reaction. A strong influence of the conditioning of chitosan not only on the activity and enantioselectivity but also on the recyclability and reusability of the catalyst is demonstrated.
