This review summarizes the oxidation methods of organic compounds carried out in the presence of a catalyst using ionic liquids or molten ammonium salts as solvents. From an ecological point of view, these procedures are particularly interesting when the catalyst is efficiently immobilized in the solvent, thus leading to a reusable system.
