In article number 1901680, Mahir Asif Mohammed, Oded Raz and co‐workers report on the metastable manipulation of the refractive index of hydrogenated amorphous silicon (a‐Si:H). Light‐induced increase of refractive index related to the increase of strain in the film is demonstrated which can be reversed by annealing. The finding would potentially find application in the field of programmable photonics and fine tuning of photonic devices to tackle fabrication‐related imperfections.
