A novel terahertz metamaterial, a nanopillar‐based split‐ring resonator, is presented by J.‐H. Cho and co‐workers on page 1302. The resonator contains thousands of gold nanopillars with nanoscale gaps between them. Displacement current is generated between the nanopillars to create a current loop along the resonator. An ultrahigh quality factor can be achieved with potential applications in highly acute sensing and frequency‐agile devices.
