Q. Bao and co‐workers investigate the nonlinear optical properties of black phosphorus (BP) and demonstrate its usage as a new saturable absorber for high‐energy pulse generation in fiber lasers. On page 1447, solution‐exfoliated BP is encapsulated in a polymer matrix to avoid oxidization and degradation. Strong saturable absorption in terms of a large modulation depth is observed in the BP‐polymer composite, ensuring highly stable Q‐switched pulse generation.
