A mechanically tunable grating is demonstrated by introducing high refractive‐index titanium dioxide (TiO 2 ) nanoscale dot gratings into soft, elastomeric polydimethylsiloxane. In situ diffraction angle measurements of uniaxial strain‐induced grating response are backed by finite element modeling of strain distribution. These gratings offer low mechanical impact on the elastomeric substrate as well as excellent linear tunability.
