Deep UV emission from hot exciton transitions at higher energy sub‐bands can be significantly enhanced by an energy‐matched surface plasmon (SP)‐exciton coupling effect in AlGaN multiple quantum wells decorated with Al nanoparticles. The ground state emission is correspondingly suppressed due to the altered recombination channel of excitons after introducing the SP‐exciton coupling effect. Here, J. Li, Z. H. Wu, and co‐workers show violet pairs of electrons and holes and light representing the hot excitions and their emission with a higher energy, and blue pairs of electrons and holes and the light represent ground state excitions and their emission.
