Rectangular microtubes and microrods are obtained using a slow solvent‐evaporation method that induces the self‐assembly of cationic diphenylalanine peptide (CDP). The microrods and microtubes have similar structures, but the microrods are single‐crystalline. The microrods can be made fluorescent, revealing evident optical waveguiding properties.
